In Memory of
Kenny
August 22, 1973 - October 24, 1990

I wrote this poem for Roxanne. Whenever she gets sad and misses her brother she can always come here and read this. Roxanne knows he's always around her and we always see a red-tailed hawk wherever we go. It is like he is always watching over us, that's the reference to the hawk in the poem.
Kenny
Kenny's time was up and God called his name,
An angel in heaven is what he became.
So much to see yet, so much to do,
That morning he left who would have knew.
It's not fair and no one knows your pain,
He's gone and your life will not be the same.
There were times when your eyes were full of tears,
He comforted you and helped you face your fears.
Anger builds up inside 'til you think you'll explode,
I wish I knew the words that would lighten the load.
The right words to say, maybe on a card,
That would help you get through, when life gets so hard.
You can't see him but he's been there all along,
We don't know why but it's where he belongs.
He was with Trevor the day he was born,
He kept him alive so we wouldn't mourn.
He was with Haley the day she was shot too,
Just a couple of examples to name a few.
When you see that hawk you'll know he's there,
Just give him a look and say a prayer.
You think about him a lot, you miss him so much,
Just one more day for a hug or a hand to touch.
This is a wish, I wish I could grant,
We both know it is something I can't.
Instead I am here to take care of you,
To keep you safe and to love you true.
Love Always and Forever,
Steve
